Shelley Mathis

With more than 10 years of Human Resources experience across the Education and Manufacturing industries, Shelley serves as Fineline’s Director of Human Resources with a relationship-focused and team-oriented approach. A born-and-raised Hoosier, she is passionate about building trusted connections with employees at every level of the organization while creating an engaging and collaborative workplace culture. Known for her creativity, humor, and employee engagement initiatives, Shelley has previously earned the nickname “CFO” — Chief Fun Officer — for the energy and enthusiasm she brings to her teams.

Shelley holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana University and a master’s degree in leadership administration from Butler University. She is SHRM-certified and actively involved in both Women in Manufacturing and Indy SHRM. Shelley also serves on the Hospitality Committee for this year’s Indiana SHRM State Conference.

Outside the office, Shelley enjoys reading as part of a monthly book club, trying new restaurants, attending sporting events and concerts, and traveling with her husband Ron and their dogs to dog-friendly destinations. A self-proclaimed paper enthusiast, she loves everything from handwritten cards and colorful Post-it notes to designer file folders — and proudly considers herself a fountain Diet Coke fanatic.
